Remida Portland event Saturday morning!

Cachorros_Teachers Community, Community Blog

Hi Escuela Viva community,

We just wanted to let you know about an exciting event happening this weekend. Remida Portland is a project hosted by the Helen Gordon Child Development Center. There will be art reuse materials (bottle caps, cardboard tubes, etc.) set up in the park across from HGCD as an open invitation for children to explore and create whatever their imagination suggests. This event is FREE and open to Portland-area families. We hope to see some of you there!

Time: 9am-11:30am this Saturday, July 11
Location: SW 12th & Market

Here is the flier for more information: Remida Day 2015 Flier

Please note that some of the materials provided are likely to be choking hazard size, so this event may be better suited to children who have grown out of putting things in their mouths unless you’re supervising them closely.

  1. I have visited the Remida in Reggio Emilia and have only just found your site. I have long wanted to become involved in such a wonderful extension to teaching. Now that I am retired from my teaching after 27 years, I would really like to start up such a project myself for ou r early learners
    Keep the ideas coming please.
